Wiesel, Ellie.
Night. N.p.: n.p., n.d. Print.

3. Define and Describe
  1. COURAGECourage is to be brave and to take on a challenge. It is to not give up on a task no matter what might happen in the end. It's to help other people and possibly make sacrifices to do so. Courage is to be brave, responsible, heroic, and respectful. It is usually very difficult and is not accomplished easily but will pay off in the end.
  2. COURAGE IN "NIGHT" -  Courage in the book "night"  is demonstrated in many ways. The main character Elie is sent to a concentration camp in Germany with his family his mother and sisters are separated from him, but Elie and his dad stick together. They are forced to work and are given very little to eat. When Elie's father starts to get very very weak he gives up his ration of soup and bread for his dad. He gives everything he has to his dad. They have to protect each other and support each other. Elie is very courageous in defending his father and his newly found friends within the camp. He gives it everything he has and is determined to protect his father and himself.
  3. THE PLOT - The plot in the book "Night" has taught me that if you wanted to survive in the Nazi concentration camps you had to be very brave and courageous. You had to be willing to fight for everything you had, including your life. If you wanted to survive you had to be willing to fight for everything you've got. The main character (Elie) has told me that these death camps were hell and if you wanted any chance at survival you had to be extremely brave and prepared to fight for everything and anything you have.
