#5 Significance Of?

Night - Elie Wiesel

Significant Elements
1. The War
2. Perserverence

The war plays a very significant role in the novel "Night". The war is the cause of every event in the story. It creates a very sad and depressing atmosphere for everyone in the story. It makes it that much tougher for the characters in the story to survive and intensifies the situation that is already a matter of life and death. The war is the main cause of events for this book and the reason that everything happens the way it does. Without the war there would be no story.

Perseverance is very important to the characters in this story. The characters have no choice but to persevere in order to stay alive. They are already living under terrible conditions. They get very very little food, have no shoes, they have very tiny beds, and their room has no floor. It was very very tough to live under these conditions and the characters would very easily die if they made one little mistake. Perserverance is very very important in this story. If  the characters hadn't perservered the story would be even more depressing and saddening then it already is.
